ADVANTAGE OF THE VENTILATED FACADE

The ventilated facade has quite numerous antecedents and is based on the construction tradition, such as the ventilated roofs known as the “facade or Catalan roof”, the partition walls or the English version of the “cavity wall”.

The ventilated façade is basically composed of two parts, an interior, protected, and an exterior, for protection against the direct action of meteorological factors.

These parts are separated by a moving air chamber that allows, among other things, the maintenance of the interior temperature, as well as the evaporation of water resulting from condensation or rainwater that may be deposited between them.

It is in this space between two layers that the thermal insulation is applied and the structural support system of the cladding is assembled. This system is punctual, which allows for greater homogeneity of insulation, reducing energy losses as much as possible. In addition to the aesthetic issue, the variety and lightness of the coating materials, combined with the ease of mounting the support systems, lead to a reduction in the final cost of the work.
